Episode 9: We Hear of Sherlock Everywhere

In this episode, we had a full house of Babes. Ardy, Curly, Jenn, Turk, and Taylor examine some television shows that were inspired by our favorite consulting detective. With help from our new Honorary (and Lithuanian) Babe, Sigita (of Addicted To Sherlock Holmes), we take on the following shows:

  • House, M.D. : Cuddy, Vicodin, and Rock N' Roll. With a smattering of James "Three Continents" Wilson.
  • The Mentalist: Patrick Jane, his arch-nemesis Red John, and Jane's amazing three-piece suits.
  • Doctor Who: How the companions and the TARDIS are a stand in for John Watson and Turk starts something. Get ready for your challenge listeners!
  • Monk: When OCD breeds a brilliant mind and a clean flat.
  • Psych: How a photographic memory, a little bit of acting, and a sense of humor can solve a crime.

AND MORE!

Don't forget to listen all the way to the end. We have a special surprise for you!

  1. Hi all. I just listened to ep 9, and I wanted to quickly weigh in on the Doctor Who angle. Have any of you seen the 4th Dr. episode "The Talons of Weng Chiang"? The Doctor was very Sherlock in the ep...he even wore a Dearstalker. (If you just want the gist of the story, you can listen to our podcast of the ep here - http://www.shadowproclamation.net/blog/2011/08/article-20-giant-rats-in-the-sewers/ ...it's shorter.)
